At Stella's Lone Star Homestead, we believe that adult dogs and rescue dogs deserve loving forever homes just as much as puppies do. Whether a dog has retired from our breeding program or came to us in need of a second chance, each one has a unique story and so much love to give.
Adult dogs often come already house-trained, calmer, and with established personalities — making it easier to find the right match for your family. They may also be a more affordable option for families who aren't ready for the cost or commitment of raising a young puppy.

Adult Dachshund
Daisy Mae is a beautiful smooth red mini Dachshund who has been a wonderful part of our program. She is ready to retire and spend her days as a beloved companion. She loves lap time, short walks, and snuggling under blankets.
Personality: Sweet, gentle, and loves to cuddle. Great with children and other dogs. House-trained and leash-trained.

These dogs came to us needing a second chance. We've given them love, care, and a safe place to heal — now they're ready to find their forever families.
Rescue
Biscuit came to us as a stray and has blossomed into a sweet, loving boy. He is up to date on vaccines, neutered, and ready for a fresh start in a patient, loving home.

Personality: Playful, curious, and affectionate once he warms up. Does well with calm households.
