The Concept
What Is a Guardian Home?
A guardian home is a carefully selected family who agrees to raise one of our breeding dogs as their own beloved pet. The dog lives with the guardian family full-time — sleeping in their home, going on their adventures, and being loved as a true family member.
In exchange, the dog remains part of our breeding program for a defined period. For females, this typically means returning to us for breeding and whelping. For males, it may involve stud services. Once the dog's breeding career is complete, they are fully transferred to the guardian family — forever.
The Process
How It Works
Application & Approval
You submit a guardian home application. We review it carefully — looking for stable home environment, experience with dogs, and the right lifestyle fit for the specific dog.
Meeting & Matching
If approved, we arrange a meeting between your family and the dog we have in mind. Both sides need to feel the connection is right.
Agreement & Placement
We sign a Guardian Home Agreement outlining responsibilities, breeding expectations, veterinary care, and the timeline for full ownership transfer.
Life Together
The dog goes home with you. You raise them, love them, and keep us updated. We stay in close contact and are always available for support.
Full Ownership
Once the breeding career is complete, the dog is yours — fully and permanently. No strings attached.
What We Look For
Guardian Home Requirements
- Stable, loving home environment with consistent daily routine
- Fenced yard or secure outdoor space appropriate for the breed
- No more than 1–2 other dogs in the household (case by case)
- Commitment to regular veterinary care and annual wellness exams
- Willingness to follow our feeding, exercise, and care guidelines
- Located within reasonable driving distance of our location in Texas (or willing to travel for breeding/whelping)
- Open communication — we stay in close contact throughout the partnership
